You’ll be trained to be an expert in our business

so that you can help your customers make the most of what we offer.

Sales Acquisitions Advisors

Answering calls from potential customers all over the UK, you’ll listen to what they have to say, identify their needs, and match them to the right products and services.

Sales Retentions Advisors

Talking to existing customers who are thinking of ending their relationship with BT, you’ll use your excellent problem-solving skills to figure out what’s gone wrong. You’ll then try to put it right by offering an alternative that ensures your customer stays.

Sales Advisors – Consumer Flex

This new team switches flexibly between outbound and inbound roles – so there’ll be times when you’re calling our existing customers to recommend a great new product or service, and there’ll be times when you’ll find yourself tackling technical issues and account enquiries.

You’ll get first-class training so that you can provide the best possible service to our customers, and you’ll be well-supported by your manager. This kind of work is target driven and calls for a certain kind of person, but we’ll help you develop the knowledge and skills needed to do outstanding work. And because we’re always on the lookout for people of exceptional potential, this is likely to be the first step in a varied and rewarding career.

Working hours

At BT we’re committed to being there when our customers need us, and we will need you to support during evenings and weekends. We’ll ask for your preferences and match them as closely as we can to business need.  On average you could expect to work six Saturdays, two Sundays and twenty-five evenings over a ten-week period. This can vary depending on the time of year.  We’re pleased to offer both full- and part-time opportunities, and we have a range of options to help you structure your working week. Please note: during your training you will need to come in full-time.

What we are looking for

Although we’ll give you all the training you need, there are certain things we look for in all our sales advisors. You’ll already be a great communicator – a good listener with a natural flair for conversation – and you’ll also be resilient, persuasive and calm under pressure. But most importantly, you’ll be able to speak with our customers in a way that that helps you understand their needs, and that makes them feel good about BT and what they’re buying.
